Trompe L'oeil Plate ~ Apricots

A trompe l'oeil plate is a ceramic dish created using the “deceive the eye” technique, which makes objects appear realistic, blurring the line between art and reality. Historically, trompe l'oeil ceramics were a theatrical element of 18th-century dining, used to surprise and delight guests at the end of a meal.

Our plates are still functional with room for serving food and look amazing mounted on a wall.
